At NAB Show 2025, Amplify unveiled GeNews — a new generative AI tool built specifically for journalists, broadcasters, and media creators who want to accelerate their storytelling without giving up control or editorial intent. Following the successful launch of Seiri, our AI-powered media understanding platform, GeNews is a disruptive next step in our mission: building real, scalable AI tools that integrate into everyday media workflows — tools that work with creators, not over them.
Built on a Creator-Centric Philosophy
GeNews was designed from the ground up with editorial teams in mind. It uses generative AI to help build compelling video stories, faster — automatically identifying and assembling relevant visuals based on story context and tone. Whether it’s breaking news, explainers, sports coverage or event recaps, GeNews reduces the manual workload while giving journalists full creative oversight.
What makes GeNews different is its creator-first philosophy:
- Editorial intelligence: It understands not just visuals, but why they matter to the story.
- Workflow-native: Seamlessly integrates with NRCS, MAMs, and editing tools — no extra steps, no disruption.
- Flexible deployment: On-prem, cloud or hybrid — you stay in control of your data and your infrastructure.
- Frictionless UX: Only prompts, no code — just an intuitive interface made for real-time newsroom environments.
GeNews doesn’t just generate content. It collaborates with journalists to enhance the editorial process.
A Highlight of NAB Show 2025
GeNews debuted at NAB Show 2025, and the response was overwhelming. From major broadcasters to independent media teams, attendees were impressed by the speed, simplicity, and editorial focus of the platform. For many, it was one of the standout innovations of the entire show.
Throughout the week, we ran dozens of live demos — each sparking new conversations, unexpected use cases, and genuine excitement. Some even suggested using GeNews beyond journalism: from automated sports highlights to localized reality show edits and parliamentary summaries.

This kind of feedback is at the heart of how we build at Amplify. As Toni Vilalta, CPO and co-founder, said during his IABM interview: “We’re not building AI that looks good in a lab — we’re building AI that works in the field, in the hands of creators.”
Coming Onboard: What’s Next
Now that GeNews is live, we’re entering our next phase: onboarding a group of early adopters — including several media organizations who saw the platform for the first time at NAB and immediately recognized its potential.
These early partnerships will allow us to:
- Refine newsroom integrations
- Expand support for new formats and workflows
- Continue evolving GeNews based on real-world input
Meanwhile, we’re strengthening the connection between GeNews, Seiri, and Seiri Voice, moving toward a unified, AI-powered production suite that supports the entire content lifecycle — from media ingestion and understanding, to localization, to final story assembly. At Amplify, we’re truly proud of the product launch. But more than that, we’re excited for what’s next — and for the creators who are about to help shape it.
